Oily Skin
Excess androgen hormones cause oily skin. Usually caused by puberty, monthly cycles or menopause, these hormones trigger our oil glands to produce too much oil. Contrary to myth beliefs of controlling excess oils by using harsh, drying ingredients like alcohol, this actually causes your skin to produce even more oil than before. Our oil glands would have to work harder to replace what has been lost. Using a proper skin care regimen will help to control the excess oil and bring it into balance. Balanced skin is healthy skin.
